SlowCiv

SlowCiv is an interesting variation of FreeCiv, in which only one turn per day is played. It has been invented by the Polish Civ Community who also wrote the original ruleset for FreeCiv 1.14.0.

However, the recently (as of time of this writing) released FreeCiv 2.0 contains many new features, so the ruleset had to be updated for our last SlowCiv game. Here is the result:

The modified, harder "ModiSlow" Ruleset (the archive also contains a startup script for server options).

Technology Tree

You'll probably want a technology tree to know which research targets are worth all those bulbs they take. The following one (for Freeciv 2.0) was generated by one of my perl scripts, then transformed into a picture by the graph visualizer dot. It should be printed on A3 paper if possible to enhance readability.
Note: Click on the image or save it directly to disk for the full-size version. Warning: It won't fit on your screen.

Terrain Transforms

Additionally, I've often asked myself what all those terrain transforms do. The following picture answers this question.
